Women's Health

Take control of your health today. With our women's health lab test we emphasize on early detections, preventive care, and maintaining your wellness.

CBC

This comprehensive test screens for a range of diseases including anemia, leukemia, and inflammatory processes. It covers white blood count, red blood count, hemoglobin, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, platelet count, MPV, and differential, as well as absolute and percentage of neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils.

CMP

This comprehensive test assesses kidney and liver function, electrolyte levels, blood sugar, and more. It includes 15 tests in total: - Sodium - Potassium - Chloride - Carbon Dioxide - Calcium - Blood Urea Nitrogen - Creatinine - Glomerular Filtration Rate - Alkaline Phosphatase - Total Bilirubin - Aspartate Transaminase - Alanine Transaminase - Albumin - Total Protein - Glucose levels

Lipid Panel

A lipid panel test measures your cholesterol levels, including good cholesterol (HDL), bad cholesterol (LDL), and triglycerides, which store excess energy from your diet. Elevated triglyceride levels and high LDL or low HDL can increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.

A1C

This test is essential for determining if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic and for monitoring the control of the disease. It provides a value indicating your average blood sugar levels over the preceding 2-3 months.

TSH

Thyroid stimulating hormone is used for differential diagnosis of primary, secondary, or tertiary hypothyroidism. This test can also be useful for screening hyperthyroidism. This test will help your doctor determine dosage in hypothyroid patients that are on suppressive thyroxine therapy for thyroid neoplasia. You do not have to be fasting for the test

Progesteron

These levels increase sharply during the luteal phase of the menstural cycle. They also increase in weeks 9-32 in pregnancy. You do not have to be fasting for the test

Tetosterone

This test is helpful in assisting testicular function in male and managing hirsutism, virilization in females. Included in this panel is your Sex Hormone Binding Globulin and Albumin. Early morning fasting is preferred.

DHEA-S

This is the major androgen produced by the adrenal glands. With this test it can diagnose or detect disorders in the testicles or ovaries. It can also be used to detect puberty in males. Some physicians use this to test for tumors on the adrenal glands. Low levels of DHEA-S can diagnose Addison’s Disease or Hypoputuitarism. Elevated levels can be a sign of PCOS. Biotin supplements should not be taken for 72 hours prior to testing.

Estradiol

Measuring the circulating levels of estradiol is important for assessing the ovarian function and monitoring follicular development for assisted reproduction protocols. Estradiol plays an essential role throughout the human menstrual cycle. Elevated estradiol levels in females may also result from primary or secondary ovarian hyperfunction. Very high estradiol levels are found during the induction of ovulation for assisted reproduction therapy or in pregnancy. Decreased estradiol levels in females may result from either lack of ovarian synthesis (primary ovarian hypofunction and menopause) or a lesion in the hypothalamus-pituitary axis (secondary ovarian hypofunction). Elevated estradiol levels in males may be due to increased aromatization of androgens, resulting in gynecomastia. You do not have to be fasting for the test

FHS and LH

These are secreted by the anterior pituitary in response to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GNRH) that is secreted by the hypothalamus. FHS and LH secreation is regulated by a balance of positive and negative feedback mechanisms involving the hypothalami-ptuitary axis, the reproductive organs, and the pituitary and sex steroid hormones in both males and females. FSH and LH play a critical role in maintaining the normal function of the male and female reproductive systems. Abnormal FSH levels with corresponding increased or decreased levels of LH, estrogens, progesterone, and testosterone are associated with a number of pathological conditions. Increased FSH levels are associated with menopause and primary ovarian hypofunction in females and primary hypogonadism in males. Decreased levels of FSH are associated with primary ovarian hyper-function in females and primary hypergonadism in males. Normal or decreased levels of FSH are associated with polycystic ovary disease in females. In males, LH is also called interstitial cell-stimulating hormone (ICSH). Abnormal LH levels with corresponding increased or decreased levels of FSH, estrogens, progesterone, and testosterone are associated with a number of pathological conditions. Increased LH levels are associated with menopause, primary ovarian hypofunction, and polycystic ovary disease in females and primary hypo-gonadism in males. Decreased LH levels are associated with primary ovarian hyperfunction in females and primary hyper-gonadism in males. You do not have to fast for this test.

AMH-Female

This test can tell how many eggs you carry in your ovaries as a female. It can also be used to pin point irregular menstrual cycles.

Pregnancy with Gestational table

Wondering if your pregnant? Took a home test but want to confirm the accuracy and see how far along you are. This is test will tell us if your pregnant or not and about how far along you are.

Obstetric Panel

This panel includes tests used for routine prenatal care during early pregnancy. An alternative panel, the Obstetric Panel with Fourth Generation HIV. This test includes the following : CBC (includes Differential and Platelets) Antibody Screen, RBC with Reflex to Identification, Titer, and Antigen Typing ABO Group and Rh Type RPR (Diagnosis) with Reflex to Titer and Confirmatory Testing Hepatitis B Surface Antigen with Reflex Confirmation* Rubella Antibody (IgG), Immune Status

PTH, Intact & Calcium

The assay is useful in making the diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism, secondary hyperparathyroidism, and a differential diagnosis of hypercalcemia. The assay helps in distinguishing hypercalcemia cause by either primary hyperparathyroidism or malignant disease.
