Sexually Transmitted Disease's

In today's world STD's are on the rise. Don't wait until its too late, come and get tested then take your results to your primary care physician for treatment. 

HIV

This test can help detect and diagnose HIV 1 and 2. If you think you have been exposed please consider waiting 18-45 days after exposure for accurate results.

HSV 1/2

This test can be useful in diagnosing herpes simplex virus 1 and 2. While HSV type 2 is more commonly associated with genital tract and neonatal infections. HSV type 1 is more commonly know with infections of non-genital sites.

Chlamydia/ trachomatis

This is the leading infection of sexually transmitted diseases in the united states. Chlamydia is known to casue cervivitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, epididymitis, and proctitis. Almost half of the people who have chlamydia are asymptomatic. This is test is performed using urine so please try not to urinate for 1 hour prior to testing.

Gonorrhea

In men this disease generally results in anterior urethritis accompanied by purulent exudate and in women the disease is most often found in the cervix, but the vagine and uterus may also be infected. This test is performed by a urine specimen so please try not to urinate 1 hour prior to testing.

Syphilis

Hepatitis A,B & C Panel

This is a general hepatitis panel. It will test for Hepatitis A, B, and C. Hepatitis virus that affects the liver. There is a vaccine for Hepatitis A and B. Hepatitis C is now curable with the correct medications. Even if you have been vaccinated for hepatitis it is recommened you get tested at least once in your lifetime.
