Non Invasive Prenatal Paternity Testing

DNA testing is used to determine if there is a biological relationship between two individuals. This is typically done by obtaining mouth swabs, then comparing these samples.

The Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test can help you determine who the biological father of a child is before the child is even born. This test requires a small blood sample obtained from the mother and a simple mouth swab obtained from the alleged father. Once the specimen arrives at the lab they separate the DNA from the mother so they can create a DNA profile for the fetus. After the fetus DNA has been spit from the mother the lab can test it against the alleged fathers DNA profile to either confirm or deny whether the child is biologically theirs. This can only be used on a single pregnancy, not a multiple pregnancy.

The results from this non-invasive prenatal paternity test CAN be used for legal purposes.
